Adult Pottery
The Stonington Community Center offers pottery instruction for students with all levels of experience. The intimate studio setting enables teachers to provide one on one attention and students are encouraged to progress at their own pace.

Join us for classes and have fun making things out of clay. We have pottery making equipment, clay, glazes, potter’s wheels, a kiln to fire your pieces and teachers to help you learn how. Our studio is also open for making pots on your own, once you have been approved by the studio manager.

All classes are designed to provide lessons in basic clay preparation and care, wheel throwing, hand building and glazing techniques. Students should anticipate finishing the seven week session with completed pieces and a love of mud.
