Indoor Soccer
Sponsored by Valenti Automall The league has three different age groups for boys and girls ages 4-9. The Micro program for ages 4-5 will meet Saturday afternoons, focusing on fun and games. Ages 6-7 and 8-9 will play either Saturday or Sundays afternoons (depending on the number of kids registered) and will look to help players develop skills and make choices within a game.

UK International Soccer Camps and Clinics (ages 4-8)

To build on our successful summer and fall programs run by UK International we will bring in their professional coaches to provide a structured approach to soccer for 4-8 year olds. UK will use a fun and games approach, open to all levels and experiences hoping to create a love of soccer for all.

Mr. Mendonca will be back to run another spring soccer clinic. Mr. Mendonca is the boys soccer coach at Wheeler high school as well as a coach for South Central Premier. The clinic will give 8-12 year old players a chance to work on skills and gain a better understanding for the game of soccer.

In 2010 we will be offering 3 different leagues A, B and Coed. The Coed league will target a total of 8 teams doubling the fun from last year. Leagues will run on Monday’s - Thursday’s starting in May and going to August. League placement for the A-B league will be based on last year’s standings. For Coed, two women must be on the field at all times. We suggest you carry teams of 12-14 with half male/female players. Contact athletics to save your spot. First paid, first served in these programs.

Arguably one of our most successful programs. This instructional program offers a taste of basketball for kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders. We will gently ease them into the game by practicing techniques of basketball in a non-competitive atmosphere. Based on positive reinforcement, while working on dribbling, passing and shooting kids learn while having fun.

Coaches vs. Coaches
Join us for the third annual coaches vs. coaches basketball game. Each year the coaches play to a sellout crowd. This is definitely the highlight of our athletics winter break! Doors open at 6pm and the game begins at 6:30. There will be prizes, giveaways and contests. Coming in February

Fee: $5.00 per person The Stonington Community Center owns, operates, and maintains the four outdoor tennis courts directly across from the main building. The courts are open to members and their guests only. Reservations can be made daily and up to one month in advance by calling the athletic director. All tennis is weather permitting.

SECCTA-USTA QuickStart (YOUTH)
We will again run the program under USTA QuickStart tennis. This an innovative new play format that will help to get more children 10 years of age and under into the game. The QuickStart tennis format, one of the most significant moves ever to introduce tennis to youth provides a way to bring kids 10 and under into the game by utilizing the equipment, court dimensions, and scoring that is tailored to their age and size.

Children will be assessed and moved into the proper format for their level. Class size is limited. Full Court Tennis Lessons
Kids and young adults

5 one hour sessions open to children 8 and over. Players will learn the basic strokes and rules of the game and classes will progress at the speed of the group.

Fees: $50 ($70 non member rate) The COMO youth karate program has been going strong for 19 years now. The program, which is available to children ages 4-18, teaches basic karate skills, as well as the self discipline, respect, and responsibility for which the martial arts is renowned.

Progression in rank is based on hard work, class attendance, and achievement of specified curriculum.

Enrollment is ongoing, and new students may join in at the beginning of any month if space allows.
