On March 10 from 6:00-8:00pm, learn all about the COMO’s new approach to summer programming. Pick individual programs that suit your child’s interests. Meet the instructors that want your child to enjoy their Summer 2010.

The Stonington Thrift Shop will be holding its annual Spring into Summer sale on Sunday, March 14 from noon-4:00. It will be the premier of this years spring and summer clothes. Short sleeve shirts, skirts, shorts, sounds so good.

Bulbs direct from Garden Supply to you! Help the COMO grow this spring by selling bulbs to friends and family. 50% of the proceeds go directly to the COMO. Ask any of the staff for an order form. Deadline: March 22

On March 29 from 5:00-9:00pm, Westerly’s Pizza Place will be the spot to be served dinner by the COMO staff. Don’t worry we are waiting tables not cooking. Expect give-aways, raffles and laughter.

The State of CT requires that all individuals intending to operate a motorized watercraft on Connecticut waterways successfully complete a Safe Boating course. The Stonington Community Center will be offering 3 different full day options:

Again this winter, the Stonington Community Center and the Stonington Village Improvement Association will be hosting the Stonington Farmer’s Market indoors at the COMO. There will be a variety of vendors, many coming from their summer market. What a great opportunity to continue supporting our local farmers and still purchase quality products.

After the success of last year, we are pleased to announce a return of the Jr. Leader’s coffee stand at the Winter Farmers Market. Please join us Saturday November 21 and every Saturday until May for a warm cup of fresh coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. Maybe you would also enjoy a sticky bun, donut or a bag of freshly popped popcorn. All proceeds go directly to the COMO Junior Leadership Program.

Join the COMO and the Stonington Grange for our annual “Green Fair”. Come out, have fun, and expand your knowledge on “going green”. Enjoy hands-on activities, demonstrations, and local exhibitors. This is a family event.

This is our third annual presentation of original pieces chosen from plays submitted. Each piece is no longer than 15 minutes and no more than five characters. If you are interested in submitting your work, the deadline has been extended to December 15, 2009.
