Introduction to Pottery

This course is an excellent introduction for new students or those who want to return to pottery fundamentals after time away. Students will learn basic hand-building methods: pinch pots, coil, and slab techniques. Later, students will be introduced to the potter's wheel and the essentials of wheel-throwing: centering, creating a basic form and trimming a vessel.

Adult Intermediate Pottery

A great fit for those who wish to develop more advanced clay techniques and increase their knowledge of ceramics as an art form. This course is designed for past students – COMO’s Introduction to Pottery class is a prerequisite required to register for the intermediate class.

Introduction to Pottery for Seniors 

Ages 65+

Learn basic hand building techniques including pinch, coil and slab; along with how to glaze and finish work.  Create functional or sculptural art - anything goes!
