Doris Muller Preschool
“An environment that allows a child to explore, create, discover, climb, run, play, and LEARN!”The Preschool was founded in 1969 when the “new” COMO was built. It is the longest running program at the COMO. Currently the Preschool provides two sessions; 9:00–11:30 a.m. from September to May.
Two Day Program ~ 3 yr. olds
(Begins September 8th)
Our T-Th session includes play, social skills, emerging language skills, early literacy, music, fine and large muscle activities, cooking, creative movement, gym, stories, arts and crafts, self help skills and more!
Three Day Program ~ 4 yr. olds
(Begins September 9th)
Our MWF program includes all of the above skill development, but in greater depth. It is a readiness program for developing all the skills necessary for a successful kindergarten experience. A special emphasis is placed on independence, developing self esteem, learning about other cultures and discovering that learning and new experiences are FUN! Science and Nature activities are linked to our Children’s Garden.

Preschool Extended Day
The Preschool extended day program is for students enrolled in the the MWF session of preschool. It is offered as an extension of the day on Mondays and Wednesdays through May 12th.Bring your lunch and stay at Preschool until 1:30. Activities include indoor/outdoor play, readiness skill development, stories and gym time.
Class size is limited to 10 students and registration is done on a monthly basis.
Extended Day Fees: $12 per day

KinderFun
Please call to be put on our wait list for this popular programThis special program, part of COMOKids, is open to kindergarteners enrolled in Stonington Public Schools. Children have a chance to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically with their peers through age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, cooperative gym games, circle time, stories, music, and field trips.

COMOKids
The COMOKids is a state licensed before and after school program for children ages 5-12 years. We have sites at the COMO, Deans Mill and West Vine Street Schools. (West Broad Street School students are shuttled to and from the West Vine Street School site.) Mystic Middle and Pawcatuck Middle School students are transported to the COMO at the end of the school day. Children are offered active games, homework time with assistance, outdoor time, arts and crafts, and community projects while they build peer relationships. The middle school students enjoy appropriate activities in their own space with our Junior Leadership Director.Our before school care begins at 7:00 a.m. until the start of school, and after school hours run from the close of school until 6:00 p.m. A snack is provided after school.
We also offer full time care, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. during December, February, and April vacation weeks. Registration for these programs begins 3 weeks prior to the vacation week.
