Shakespeare on the beach
The Tempest is sponsored by the Stonington Community Center.
August 12 & 13, 2017 | 6:00 PM | duBois beach
It all started when...
A father’s gambit, a monster’s revenge, a first kiss and a few fools were tossed together and ripped apart by a ferocious storm.
The Tempest is one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays. Written at the end of his career, it holds beautiful text, complex characters and provocative ideas.
This August, the Stonington Community Center brings Shakespeare back to the beach!
Enjoy an alfresco setting on the beach as The Glass Eye‘s Artistic Director, Kyle Metzger, presents The Tempest. This striking production will sweep you away to an island brimming with mystical music and fearsome creatures, featuring music by Tim Duncheon and Anna Stefanic.
Please visit The Glass Eye's website for the complete listing of the cast and crew.
