Spring Youth Pottery

Session 1 Classes

Pre-Teen Wheel Pottery

Ages 9-12

Learn the essentials of throwing on the potter’s wheel, from centering to pulling to trimming.  Students will learn how to glaze their work at the end of the session.  No previous experience needed, but be prepared to have fun and get messy! Short nails and long hair pulled back required. Taught by Rebecca Hnatiuk.

Youth Pottery A

Grades kindergarten to 4th grade

Learn the essentials of throwing on the potter’s wheel, from centering to pulling to trimming. Make a box, make a ball, make it short, or make it tall! Sculpt animals, flowers, faces and more. With hands in clay, students can create anything they imagine. No previous experience needed, but be prepared to have fun and get messy. Taught by Amanda Oakes.
