Camp COMO

In Summer 2026, we are offering 10 weeks of fun at Camp COMO beginning Monday, June 26. There’s so much to explore at Camp COMO’s 16-acre campus, complete with everything your children need to have the BEST SUMMER EVER! Please read our frequently asked questions related to COMO Childcare.

Camp COMO day camp is open to youth in grades K-7 and offers flexible weekly scheduling, including full day (9am-4pm), half day, and partial week options. From the garden to the gym to the beach — there’s never a dull moment. Camp COMO is all about staying active, creating art, making friends, and having a blast! This year we will be having new fun Fridays! Each Friday afternoon campers will have an opportuntity to experience including performers, visits from the zoo and aquarium, tie-dye making, and many fun talent shows.

Camp Weeks

Camp runs weekly, starting on June 22 and running until August 28. Note: Camp is closed on July 4, 2026.

Scheduling Options Include:
Half Day, Full Week: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 12:30-4 p.m.
Full Day, Full Week: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Full Day, Partial Week: 1-4 Day Options
AM and PM Extended Day 7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.

Pricing listed below is per week. MEMBERS receive $30 off EACH week, plus a waiver of the $35 per week registration fee. For more information on membership, including how to register online, please go to our COMO Membership page.

Specialty camps include half-day Pottery and Athletic Camps that can be seamlessly incorporated into your child’s full-day camp week. Create a weekly schedule that’s as unique as your camper! Campers who are also registered for Day Camp and/or another COMO Camp will be transported to and from camps by a COMO staff member.

Pottery and Arts Specialty Camps

• Handbuilding Pottery Camp
  Ages: 7-11
  Hours: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: Week 1 (June 22-26), Week 2 (June 29-July 3), Week 4 (July 13-17), Week 5 (July 20-24), Week 6 (Aug 3-7), Week 7 (Aug 10-14)
  Pricing: Members $290, Nonmembers $320
  Campers will be able to explore the art of pottery through fun, educational projects out of clay. Camp includes activities inside and outside of the studio, including getting inspiration from nature and lots of creative thinking! This is a pottery camp focused only on handbuilding and there will be no use of the potter’s wheel. There will be plenty of pottery pieces to bring home in the following weeks after they have been fired.
• Wheelthrowing Pottery Camp
  Ages: 11-15
  Hours: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: Week 1 (June 22-26), Week 2 (June 29-July 3), Week 4 (July 13-17), Week 5 (July 20-24), Week 7(Aug 3-7), Week 8 (Aug 10-14)
  Pricing: Members $290, Nonmembers $320

Athletics Specialty Camps

• Sports Camp
  Ages: 5-13
  Hours: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: Week 3 (July 6-10), Week 4 (July 13-17), Week 6 (Aug 3-Aug 7), Week 7 (Aug 10-14), & Week 9 (Aug 17-21)
  Pricing: Members $220, Nonmembers $250
  Love sports and games? This camp is for you! We will play a variety of sports, including soccer, tennis, basketball, handball, dodgeball, and COMOball to name a few.

• AI3 Basketball Skills Academy
  Ages: 7-13
  Hours: 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: Week 5 (July 20-24)
  Pricing: Members $250, Nonmembers $280
  The AI3 Basketball Skills Academy is a summer camp designated for boys and girls ages 7-13 that focuses on developing the fundamentals of basketball and leadership on and off the court. Former professional basketball player Anthony Ireland will lead the camp with COMO Athletic Director TJ Faeth, along with experienced staff that will provide elite instruction to each camper. Campers are separated into groups based on age and ability for small group instruction, daily games, and competitions.
• Bears Basketball Camp

  Ages: 7-13
  Hours: 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: June 22-26
  Pricing: Members $125, Nonmembers $150
  Bears Basketball Camp is a basketball camp for girls ages 7-13 that blends basketball with important life lessons, crafts, and memories that will last a lifetime! Campers will receive a reversible jersey, and will be coached by members of the Stonington High School Girls Basketball team!

• Tennis Camp
  Ages: 6-12
  Hours: 1-4 p.m.
  Weeks Offered: Week 3 (July 6-10), Week 4 (July 13-17), Week 6 (July 27-31)
  Pricing: Members $220, Nonmembers $250
  Tennis camps will introduce or expand upon the sport of tennis through age-appropriate drills and games that are designed to be fun and engaging for each child in the program. All skill levels welcome, and will be split up by coaches on the first day.

Camp COMO When registering for camp, only a non-refundable deposit of $50 is due at the time of registration. The remainder of the balance will be scheduled using the billing method you have chosen on file (credit card or EFT) 14 days before the start of the camp week. Camp payments are non-transferable and cannot be transferred to another week of camp. Additional payments (paying in full), are non-refundable and cannot be used as credit toward other weeks or programming. Schedule changes are filled as availability permits using the Summer Change of Schedule Form.

No refunds or credits will be issued for changes or cancellations within 7 days of the program start. Outside of 7 days, enrichment program fees are eligible to receive COMO credit less a 20% administrative fee. COMO credits will be shown on your online member account and expire a year after they are issued. If the program has a wait list and the space can be filled immediately, a refund less a 20% administrative fee can be processed. If COMO cancels a program, refunds will be provided. Make-up dates may be provided at the instructors’ discretion if a class is canceled.
