2012 Neil Holeck Tournament Champions!
Congratulations to the 6th grade girls Journey team which defeated New London 33-30 to capture the title of the Neil Holeck Tournament in Waterford.  The 6th grade team was coached by Scott Sawyer.  Team members included Gabriella Dellacono, Halle Anderson, Olivia and Grace Ferrara, Claudia Pagnozzi-Schwam, Avery Vine, Kate Johnson, Emma Diamanti, Izzie Reid, Cora Sawyer, and Grace Gilbert.

Quote from Coach Sawyer: “It has been a long time since a Stonington team beat a New London team in the game of basketball.  Basically, we ‘out New Londoned” New London.  Our defense was full-court and swarming and our offense was dynamic and unrelenting.  The girls stayed cool under the pressure of a very vocal and aggressive crowd.  All of the girls contributed to the win.  It was great to see all of their hard work pay off.”

The Stonington COMO offers Athletic Programs for children and thier families in the Stonington area.  Youth soccer and basketball are our most popular programs but we also offer much, much more.  We have four tennis courts that can be used by members only.  We also have tennis clinics that take place on the courts in the spring, summer, and fall.
