The Stonington Community Center provides a variety of programs and services to the Greater Stonington Area.  Known to its many loyal supporters as the COMO, we are committed to building a strong and vibrant community.  The COMO offers programs for preschoolers through senior citizens, from art to athletics, beaches to basketball, tennis to thrift shop, and almost everything in between.  Check out our website for all we have to offer.  Come to the COMO.

Help us put the Children's Garden to sleep!

Families with children of all ages are invited to join our partner, The Stonington Garden Club, in the Children's Garden to help us ready the garden for winter! Bring your Tonka trucks and child-sized wheel barrows and your garden clothes and come join the fun!

Drop by Sunday, October 26th between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the COMO Children's Garden, located on Cutler Street between the Tennis & Paddle Courts.

Wish to donate your Tonka trucks, child-sized wheel barrows, or child-sized construction equipment? The COMO is currently accepting donations at its Main Building and COMO Thrift.

All Day Care at the COMO


The COMO offers all day care for currently enrolled COMO Kids & IMPACT students, as well as newcomers! All are welcome!


Care runs from 7 am to 6 pm for only $55 per day! Participants will enjoy a day full of activities on the COMO Campus on days off from school. Participants may register at the COMO or online by clicking the button below.

The 2nd Annual COMO Pumpkin Chunkin

Join the COMO on Owen's Field on Sunday, November 2nd from 12-3pm for the ultimate pumpkin launching contest! Launch our pumpkins using the official COMO slingshot and try to hit targets in order to win prizes! Hit the gong and be entered to win the grand prize. Grand prize winner will be announced at 3 pm. Other fall games, food and treats will be available as well. 
$1 per ticket. 
COMO Members who purchase 10 tickets will win an automatic entry into the grand prize raffle! 

COMO Winter Book Sale

Colder winter weather serves as the perfect backdrop for curling up with a good book, and the Stonington Community Center can help you find your next great read for a bargain price!  The COMO has an incredible selection of donated books at the COMO Winter Book Sale, including fiction, non-fiction, hard covers and children’s.  Books are on sale "on the honor system" for $1.00 per book or use a provided paper bag and buy a half bag for $5.00 or a full bag for only $10.00.

7th Annual Stars over Stonington gala event such an incredible success!  The elegant evening was truly a celebration of community, as we honored our Stars, Susette Tibus and The Battle of Stonington Bicentennial Committee, as well as supporting the Stonington Community Center. Sunday Hours Return to COMO Thrift

Sunday hours are back at the COMO Thrift Shop. In addition to our current hours, patrons can now shop the deals on Sundays from 12-4pm starting this Sunday, September 14th! Browse our extensive selection of clothing, accessories, furniture, antiques, kitchenware and decor. We are constantly rolling out new product! 

Paddle Memberships


Paddle season is upon us! Don't forget to purchase your paddle membership in order to reserve private time on the COMO courts and receive member rates on all clinics! Paddle memberships may be purchased online or at the COMO Front Office. Haven't tried paddle tennis yet or need to brush up on your skills and technique?
