BASKETBALL OPEN GYM [Ages 30 & Older]
Seasons: March-May | June-August
Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Beginning March 12)
Saturdays, 8-10 a.m. (Beginning March 2)

Please bring your own basketball and water bottle. No equipment will be provided. Free for Stonington COMO Members. Pre-registration in Daxko is required for both members and non-members to sign off on a waiver and for communications. No Drop-Ins. If members are interested in playing multiple dates, they can sign up for the season pass to be added to all communications for those dates. There will be a COMO staff member on-site to check players in.

Non-Members: $5 daily fee | $40 for season pass (Tuesdays OR Saturdays)

BEGINNER STRETCH & STRENGTHEN

This class helps older adults to maintain their independent lifestyle by increasing strength and flexibility to improve balance. Using hand weights, bands, small devices such as rollers, and also doing floor exercises, students improve their strength and balance.

NORDIC WALKING

Nordic walking offers older adults numerous benefits over regular walking or basic pole walking. Nordic walking provides total body exercise that burns more calories, improves posture and cardiovascular health, protects knees, and offers greater stability. It can be done alone, with a friend or in a group. Nordic Walking poles required.

PADDLE TENNIS
Jerry Albrikes offers clinics and lessons for youth and adults on the paddle tennis courts and tennis courts. Parties interested in booking clinics, semi-private/private lessons, or learning more about racquet sport instruction should email Jerry Albrikes at tennis@thecomo.org. Whether you are new to the sport or looking to perfect your skills, Jerry offers lessons and clinics for all ages and abilities and will work with you to find the right fit. PICKLEBALL
A highly anticipated new offering is coming to the Stonington Community Center (COMO) starting December 18, 2023! Pickleball, rising in popularity, weaves together the best of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. There are now two indoor pickleball courts in the COMO gymnasium, with permanent lines and portable nets. COMO Membership is required. All active adults (18+) with a COMO membership enjoy complimentary access to scheduled open play hours. Click here for more info on our pickleball program!

Enrichment Program Cancellation Policy:

No refunds or credits will be issued for changes or cancellations within 7 days of the program start. Outside of 7 days, enrichment program fees are eligible to receive COMO credit less a 20% administrative fee. COMO credits will be shown on your online member account and expire a year after they are issued.  If the program has a waitlist and the space can be filled immediately, a refund less a 20% administrative fee can be processed. If COMO cancels a program, refunds will be provided. Make-up dates may be provided at the instructors' discretion if a class is canceled.
